In the Argens valley, Le Thoronet is a typical Provençal village located 80 kilometers north of the Mediterranean.
This beautiful resort, surrounded by pine forests, olive groves and vineyards, offers you to stay in nature. Follow the many hiking trails nearby to enjoy great panoramic views.
The Cistercian abbey of Thoronet, built during the 12th and 13th centuries, is one of the most remarkable in the region. Classified as a National Heritage Site (« Monument Historique »), this is a true masterpiece of Romanesque art and contemporary architecture.
On the other side of the village, enjoy the Argens banks. This place invites you to swim, stroll, fish or go canoeing. Nature lovers will have a good time discovering places that are only accessible by river.
Take the time to stroll through the town center and discover the local craftsmen. Meet experts of frescoes or sundials and taste the local produce: wine and honey.
