Set off to the heart of the Vosges for a relaxing stay in the bucolic spa resort of Bains-les-Bains, located 30 kilometers from Epinal.
The thermal baths of Bains-les-Bains are the pride of this beautiful town. The renovated buildings have an original Art Deco architecture, which combines ancient mosaics and glass pavers. They offer a warm and family welcome and have naturally warm water from the depths of the earth, perfect for all types of treatment.
The thermal baths constitute a large part of the history of La Vôge-les-Bains. To discover the town and its heritage, the guided tour « La tournée des Buveurs d’eau chaude » (the hot water drinkers) is the perfect opportunity. Stroll from the hot springs to the park’s pond, passing by the town’s architectural curiosities.
Nestled in the Bagnerot valley, the city has always based its economic and tourist activity on its hot springs. However, other monuments also trace its history: the chapel of Notre-Dame de la Brosse, the forge of Thunimont, the royal factory and the various mills and churches nearby.
It is also located about 60 kilometers from the Alpine resort of Gérardmer. This skiing resort welcomes you with more than 20 slopes.
This nature destination will also delight cyclists. A multitude of paths and small roads will take you around the city, passing through the surrounding forests and countryside. More than 20 routes are signposted, with different levels of difficulty, for mountain bikes, racing bikes and bicycles.
