On the Lyon (40 km) - Saint-Étienne (30 km) axis, Saint-Martin-la-Plaine welcomes you to its motorhome stopover right next to the animal park.
The 12-hectare park is home to more than 1,000 animals (primates, felines, birds, reptiles…) including the famous gorillas and their large 2,000 m2 greenhouse.
It is one of the most visited sites in the Loire department! Follow the 2 km walking trail to observe the animals and reconnect with nature. You will also enjoy some views of the Pilat massif. A great family outing that will please everyone.
Visit the « Maison des Forgerons » and relive the history of the forge through its museum. Discover the workshops and an important collection of old tools.
Saint-Martin-la-Plaine is located right in front of the Pilat Regional Park and in the heart of the Jarez mountains, offering lots of hiking trails leading you to these amazing landscapes.
