Little facilities and felt a bit like a car park but served a purpose to stay overnight on route.

OK but no appeal
Very new Aire, all hardstanding but no shade or character. Trees and hedges have been planted but will take years to mature. Walked into town, about 2km, which was quite disappointing except for a very interesting ruined castle.
Hello Andrew, Thank you for your review of the Montrond-les-Bains site where you stayed. Not all the areas are shaded, as we offer a number of stages with different vegetation depending on the location. If you only want shaded areas, you should know that the campsites in my Village are often greener than the stopover areas. The description and photos of the area are available on our website and application. I'm sorry to hear that the location of the site is not entirely convenient for you. Some areas are more out of the way than others, to suit everyone. Bonjour Christine, Merci d'avoir donné votre avis sur l'aire de Montrond(les-Bains où vous avez séjourné. Toutes les aires ne sont pas ombragées , nous proposons de nombreuses étapes avec une végétation différente suivant les lieux. Si vous souhaitez uniquement des aires ombragées, sachez que les CAMPINGS de mon Village sont souvent plus verdoyants que les aires d'étapes. Très belle nouvelle aire
Très belle nouvelle aire au calme située à 1,5 km des commerces. Emplacements en dur (graviers) séparés par des claustras en bois et emplacements en herbes séparés par des haies (qui doivent encore grandir vu nouvelle aire). Zone de vidange et de ravitaillement très bien agencée et spacieuse.

Praktisch
Platz liegt praktisch- in einem gemischten Industriegebiet zwischen einer Strassenmeisterei, dem Hinterhof eines Citroenhändlers und einem sehr großen Hunde- Dressurplatzes.. Ohne jeden Charme, das Schloss ist nicht zu früh sehen.Die euphorische Beschreibung ist Bauernfängerei

Brand new site
This site is so new it's yet to appear on Google street or satellite views. All gravel hardstanding, level, facilities easy to access. Rather bare at the moment but will improve as the plants and trees grow. 15 minute walk into the town with a wide range of shops, restaurants etc.. There's a dog agility group meets on the weekend on a plot nextdoor to the site, which we found interesting and entertaining to watch.
