Ok stay
This is a great stop if you want to explore Saumur and the Chateau. Tiny train stop outside will take you to town and chateau for €8. Only downside is there is NO Wi-Fi. At all anywhere. I have reported this in previous visit and was assured this would be looked into. Either change the description or reduce the price. To say Wi-Fi hotspot is misleading and untrue.

Platz auf der Loireinsel nicht weit vom Zentrum
Der Platz wirkt etwas eingezwängt zwischen Ufer und Straße. Es ist dann aber trotz Straße sehr schön ruhig. Obwohl fast voll belegt, haben wir uns nicht beengt gefühlt. Zum Zentrum und zum Schloss geht es bequem zu Fuß.

Very convenient for Saumur. On the island in the centre of the Loire. Amongst trees. Spaces bounded by sleepers.

Nice location
This camper park was well located and just a short walk from Saumur centre. The Grass needed to get mowed and we didnt feel so secure here as we have done at the other camping-car parks we have been to.

It was okay!
Small pitches and crammed together. Easy to mistake the exit for the entrance (needs a No Entry sign) Peaceful night and good walk into town. Used the very regular land train to view the sights. Couldn’t pick up the WiFi from my pitch and only stayed one night. Surface is sandy but seemed well draining. Easy access to cycle track. Not one I’d rush back to.
