The last town on this tour is Mende! The town, which used to be devoted to crafts and trade, was very prosperous until the 19th century.

Start with the cathedral, whose construction began in 1368 and was completed a century later! It is one of the few Gothic buildings in Lozère, and the ancient symbol of the bishops' power in the former province of Gévaudan: not to be missed!

Continue with the pharmacy of Mende's former hospital, in an excellent state of preservation. Featuring many 19th-century objects, its walnut furniture will plunge you into the atmosphere of the apothecaries' stores of yesteryear.

Take advantage of your stay to discover the surrounding area through hiking, villages and many other sites!
