Let's stop hop off in the charming commune of Grenade-sur-l'Adour. This bastide town of English origin has a rich historical past that will captivate novices and enthusiasts alike. 

Things to do :

• Stroll the narrow streets of yesteryear, visit the churches of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul and, why not, stop for a moment in the Place Centrale des Cornières to soak up the commune's rich past. 
• Take a dip in nature, less than 7 km from Grenade sur l'Adour on the shores of Lac Peyrot, in the middle of 13 hectares of forest. Whether you're looking for a spot of fishing or just a leisurely stroll, this lake offers a calm and peaceful setting populated by a varied avifauna that will never cease to amaze you. 
• Enjoy a change of scene in the remarkable garden of Château de Marrast, with its French-style garden, English-style groves and rows of Florence cypresses and Italian statues. Open from the end of April to the end of June, and by reservation the rest of the year.

• Enjoy vineyards and earthenware in the charming little village of Tursan: visit the Musée de la faïence et des arts de la table to discover the history and secrets of earthenware manufacture, a unique heritage in the Landes!
• And if you feel like it, stop off at the Cave Coopérative de Geaune, where winegrowers will be on hand from April to October to show you the secrets of Tursan wine.
• Admire the majestic Benedictine abbey of Saint-Sever, founded in 988, and included on the UNESCO list of pilgrims' routes to Santiago de Compostela. 
• Are you interested in prehistory? Don't miss a stopover in Brassempouy, to visit the prehistoric site of the “Grottes du Pape”!

Visit the Kiwi Valley in Pouillon! At the crossroads of the Pays Basque, the mountains of Béarn and the beaches of the southern Landes, this region extends over 24 Landes communes. Come and meet the locals and discover the spirit of the South-West in Pouillon, which welcomes you to its “3 flowers” village in bloom, and its 90 km of marked hiking trails!

Things to do : 

• In the center of the village, you'll find the Monument Historique church of Saint Martin, built in the 11th century. 
• Continue on to the Alfred Longuefosse arena, inaugurated in 1978, where many of the town's not-to-be-missed events take place throughout the year. 
• On the road to Mimbaste, the Bidas fountain, whose medicinal virtues are said to have been appreciated by the Sun King in the 17th century.
• And if you want to relax by the water, the Lac de Luc is the place to be. 

This stop takes you to the spa town of Saint-Paul-Lès-Dax, in the heart of vast green spaces where water and forest landscapes invite you to relax. In this unspoilt environment, numerous signposted footpaths allow you to discover lakes and streams. 

Things to do :

• Hike around Lac de Christus, artificially created in 1974 but seemingly always there. 
• Discover the Poustagnacq flour mill and its history, from flour mill to flour mill, in a splendid setting on the Herrère stream. 
• Take part in Terra Aventura's fun geocaching course, a family treasure hunt to discover the heritage, nature, legends and people of Saint-Paul-Lès-Dax. 

Further north, on the border with the Basque country, lies the resort of Labenne. Labenne is popular with families for its superb three-kilometer beach, seaside cafés and restaurants, and views of the Pyrenean mountains. 

What to do :

• Marvel at this paradise for young and old alike. Choose from a zoo, water park, adventure course, skate park and surfing lessons! 
• Hop on your bike for a ride along the landscaped path that runs alongside the Boudigau canal.
• Head inland and discover the Marais d'Orx, home to some 250 species of birds in a natural setting covering almost a thousand hectares. This open-access nature reserve can only be visited on foot, via an interpretation trail.

Hossegor, a creative and active town! Come and enjoy the town's 7 kilometers of beach, where surfers and swimmers share the ocean and its rollers. In Hossegor, surfing is much more than just a sport, it's a true heritage that permeates the whole commune: numerous shops, bars, restaurants... here, everything exudes surf and iodine!

What to do :

• Take the time to stroll through the village and admire the designer boutiques and Basque-Landes-style villas.
• Relax at Lac d'Hossegor, a must-see during your stay, located right next to the ocean, a true invitation to rest and meditation.
• Surf the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, whether you're a beginner or an expert. 

Surrounded by pine trees, Seignosse is a typical, unspoilt commune on the Landes coast, thanks to its largely undeveloped seafront. Cycle paths are ubiquitous in the Landes region, and Seignosse is no exception, so make the most of it!

What to do :

• Get out your bike and explore the paths between the pine trees. 
• There are two lakes in the commune: the étang blanc (white lake), where you can enjoy the peace and quiet by boat or canoe, and the étang noir (black lake), which is best explored on foot. 
• Gain height and enjoy the new dune walk! An aerial wooden footbridge has been installed on the dune at Seignosse Le Penon. The view is breathtaking. Designed and engineered by the Office Nationale des Forêts, the new walkway combines the discovery of nature with the preservation of the environment. 

Messanges in three words? Forest, beach and ponds! With its five kilometers of white sandy beach, Messanges is THE place to be for surfers all year round.  You'll enjoy an incredible change of scenery and the discovery of a small ecological paradise. In short, it's the perfect place for nature lovers!

Things to do :

• Get out your bike and pedal along the cycle paths and footpaths around the commune. 
• Cruise down the Huchet stream in a galupe, a flat-bottomed boat, to the estuary at Moliets beach, a 7km ride between dunes and forests. 
• Challenge the waves on a surfboard from the North or South beach. 

For this stage, head for Azur and Castets, where you'll enjoy the peace and quiet of the surrounding ponds and forests.  From these areas, walk to Lac de Soustons, the ideal place to relax along the water's edge and observe the flora and fauna. 

Things to do :

• In Castets, enjoy the company of the gigantic sequoia planted in 1870 on Place Jean d'Anse.
• Continue your stroll to the neoclassical town hall, the 15th-century bell tower and the Saint-Barthélemy-et-Saint-Roch church. 
• Enjoy the region's many water sports: sailing, board sports and fishing. 
• Taste local produce at the Castets market every Sunday morning.
• Rejuvenate in the surrounding forest for some great walks or bike rides!
