Welcome to the land of pottery. These villages exude ancestral craftsmanship where clay becomes a work of art. Park at one of the local motorhome sites: you are ideally placed to discover pottery traditions on one side and the splendours of Germany on the other. To discover:

• The Potters' Path (Soufflenheim): Discover the soul of the village by visiting its traditional workshops. This is where the famous kougelhopf moulds and colourful baeckeoffe dishes are fashioned. Take the opportunity to admire Saint-Michel Church.

• The Gertelbach Waterfalls & the Black Forest: For nature lovers, head for the steep trails of the Black Forest. These waterfalls offer a refreshing hike in a fairytale setting, amidst rocks and fir trees.

Baeckeoffe: It is in the terrines of Soufflenheim that this legendary dish is prepared. The secret? Slow cooking in a terracotta dish that is "luted" (hermetically sealed with a strip of dough), giving it an inimitable flavour.
