The historic centre is built around the Château de Simiane, which is now the scene of various cultural events. The Ripert Tower reveals parts of the upper castle’s ancient ramparts. The Chappelle des Pénitents Blancs (chapel of the penitents,16th century) bears witness to the history of its brotherhood founded in 1509. It is now a magnificent building that will amaze you with the splendour of its ceiling. A walking trail with 15 signs (available at the Tourist Office) will allow you to discover the heritage of this charming town which has been awarded a 3-flower badge in the competition for towns and villages in bloom.
