Motorhome area of le Lavandou (Var)

Le Lavandou is a small town at the foot of the Maures mountains, on the seafront between Toulon and Saint-Tropez. A former fishing harbour, it is also a major tourist destination offering 12 fine sandy beaches in a variety of colours. Many outdoor activities, including water sports, are available. Diving enthusiasts can make incredible discoveries all year round thanks to the great diversity of the seabed. There are also activities such as stand-up paddling and kayaking, or you can explore the coast on board a speedboat. Le Lavandou and the surrounding area is a great place for cycling and walking. A 12 km cycle path runs along the coast, offering exceptional views of the islands of Port-Cros and Le Levant. At the entrance to the village, discover a heritage steeped in history: the Restanques de Saint-Clair (dry-stone wall terraces) are a real natural treasure. Stroll through the narrow streets of the town centre, where the colourful buildings and local shops invite you to explore. When it comes to gastronomy, try the typical dishes of the Midi: pissaladière, fougasse (bread), bouillabaisse, aïoli, pistou soup, and many other dishes to enjoy. Pair your meals with Provence wines, especially the world-famous rosé. Vineyards are part of the town's landscape, and you can discover the l'Anglade vineyard, located just a few metres from l'Anglade beach.
