Tourism / Discovery
In the heart of the Ecrins National Park, Saint-Firmin is located 75 km south of Grenoble.
As the gateway to the Valgaudemar Valley (originally formed by glaciers), Saint-Firmin is a perfect place to enjoy the varied landscapes changing throughout the seasons. Stroll through this typical Hautes-Alpes village, from where you can always see the Alps. It is an ideal crossing point to discover the mountains by hiking trails, starting with the Valgaudemar valley. As the snow melts, the waterfalls roar and interact with the scenery to give it an end of the earth look.
Twenty kilometers away, in the heart of the Champsaur massif, the wooded landscapes and summer activities give way to ski resorts in winter. All year round, thrills or landscape discoveries await you.
Churches, squares, fountains, wash houses, monasteries, castles and abbeys… Saint-Firmin and its surroundings have plenty of heritage sites to visit.
