Tourism / Discovery
Saint-Vincent-sur-Jard is a small ocean side town in a magnificent bay opposite the Ile de Ré island, on the South Vendee coastline! It is a fun family resort where you can enjoy peace and nature.
You will have the choice of 3 beachs : Goulet beach, which is supervised in July and August (opposite the site), Ragnette beach, which is surrounded by dunes and forests, and the Clemenceau Museum beach, with its designated picnic area. Beach fishing is allowed when the tide goes out (shrimps, crabs, and shellfish).
If you fancy a walk, discover the Ragnette dune coastal path, next to the forest ! You will be able to see the Pointe du Grouin headland, the Tranche-sur-Mer lighthouse and Ile de Ré island with its « whale lighthouse ».
The market of regional products is held every Friday morning in July and August.
