Tourism / Discovery
Park your motorhome in L’Épine and discover one of the most authentic villages on Noirmoutier Island. From the Les Ormeaux motorhome area, wander through charming streets lined with white houses and colourful shutters, stop by the local shops, and soak up the village’s peaceful seaside atmosphere.
L’Épine is renowned for the diversity of its natural landscapes. Sandy beaches stretch along the Atlantic coast, while the Bois des Éloux offers beautiful shaded trails beneath maritime pine trees. Further north, the Port de Morin is a delightful place for a stroll, especially at sunset. The island’s salt marshes and the Étangs des Perles complete this typical Noirmoutier scenery.
Thanks to the island’s network of cycling paths and quiet roads, cycling is one of the best ways to explore the area. Head to Noirmoutier-en-l’Île to discover its medieval castle, old harbour and historic streets, then continue to the famous Bois de la Chaise and Plage des Dames, known for its iconic white beach huts and wooden pier.
Your stay can also include a visit to the Passage du Gois, the famous tidal causeway linking the island to the mainland at low tide. Before crossing, always check the tide times and current access conditions.
