Motorhome area of Précigné

Halfway between Le Mans and Angers, Précigné is an agricultural town overflowing with paths for walking in nature. The area is located opposite the swimming pool parking lot, the starting point of the hiking trail: Tour de la fontaine sans fond. With a distance of 16 km and a "medium" difficulty level, it takes you past several heritage monuments such as Saint-Pierre Church, the private Château du Bois Dauphin, and the Manoir de Sourches. It also crosses a wide range of landscapes that have become natural refuges for various animal and plant species. Another slightly more difficult trail is the Tour Saint-Ménelé, with a length of 20 km. Starting again from the swimming pool parking lot, follow the green markers to explore lands with a rich historical past. Several castles, mills, chapels, and bourgeois houses will punctuate your walk. The Malpaire Forest, 6 km from Précigné, is also a peaceful place for walking for several hours. Hidden in the Sabolian bocage, the medieval garden of Sourches awaits you inside its feudal mound. Accompanied by a guide, the visit covers medieval architecture through the kitchen-bakery and the Sainte-Anne and Saint-Joseph chapel. 3 km south of the town, the Bavousières flower labyrinth welcomes you from July to September, as a vast fallow space that allows the development of a multitude of wildflowers, as well as insects that enjoy this rich ecosystem. Find your way among the cornflowers and daisies by solving puzzles! With the proximity of the Sarthe river, it is possible to enjoy a boat ride in Sablé-sur-Sarthe, 8 km from the area. Embark on a guided cruise on the only restaurant boat on the Sarthe and sail along the river to see the various monuments that line it.
