Tourism / Discovery

Park your motorhome in the heart of one of Wallonia’s most beautiful natural areas! Falemprise, a hamlet in the municipality of Cerfontaine, is located directly within the Lacs de l’Eau d’Heure estate. With its five lakes, vast forests and meadows, this area covering more than 1,800 hectares provides the perfect setting for an outdoor getaway. In Falemprise, your holiday begins by the water. The lake features a designated swimming area that is supervised during the season, while its shores are perfect for walks and relaxing moments. Mini-golf, beach volleyball, pétanque, a playground and water-based activities offer plenty of ways to have fun without straying far from the lake. Hiking and cycling enthusiasts will also find plenty to enjoy along the many routes that criss-cross the estate. Just a few kilometres away stands the spectacular Plate Taille dam, whose interior galleries can be visited along a route of around 400 metres. From the heights, the views over the lakes and surrounding forests are truly remarkable. For an extra dose of adrenaline, head to Natura Parc, with its treetop adventure courses and zip lines soaring more than 20 metres above the lake. Be sure to also take the time to visit Cerfontaine and discover its local heritage: the Saint-Lambert church with its distinctive bell tower, its bandstand, its museum and its history linked to the region’s traditional trades. Then extend your trip to the Aquascope de Virelles, the Neptune Caves or Chimay to make the most of the Pays des Lacs.
