Souillac is in the Lot Department in Occitania. The town is rooted in the heart of the Dordogne valley. It is very close to Rocamadour. This classed as a "Grand Site" of the Midi Pyrénées has been a landmark of Christianity since the Middle Ages. When you stay in Souillac, you are close to a number of caves, castles, museums and some of « France's Most Beautiful Villages ». In the Dordogne, Souillac is nicknamed « the town of contrasts » because the scenery alternates between the river and old stones. It's also the town of the 7 viaducts. They remind us of the many valleys in the area. If you want to enjoy unspoilt nature, this is the destination for you.
