Discovered in the 1850s, the archaeological site of Ensérune is located near the village of Nissan lez Ensérune, between Béziers and Narbonne. As early as the 6th century BC, the Gallic village was formed on the Ensérune hill, facing a unique panorama of the Bitteroise plain and the Montady lake. Through the archaeological remains of one of the most important oppida of the Midi, you can discover the remains of the town, the urban organisation, the houses, the streets and the dolias of our Gallic ancestors.
