Tourism / Discovery
Aragnouet, a small village nestled at the foot of the Piau-Engaly massif, offers the perfect mix of fresh air, mountains, and authentic Pyrenean charm. From the moment you arrive, the snow-covered peaks and surrounding forests provide breathtaking views, ideal for hiking, mountain biking, or snowshoeing depending on the season.
In the heart of the valley, the Piau-Engaly ski resort attracts both enthusiasts and families with its varied slopes and terrain for all levels, plus free shuttles from the motorhome area for a hassle-free start. In summer, explore the Néouvielle Nature Reserve with its crystal-clear alpine lakes, panoramic trails, and local wildlife. Culture lovers will enjoy visiting the Templar chapel and the Saint-Exupère church, both typical of mountain architecture.
For quieter moments, take a stroll to the Lac de l’Oule or admire the majestic views at the Cap de Long dam. And to end your day on a delicious note, enjoy a local specialty in one of the nearby farm inns or browse the village’s weekly market every Wednesday.
