Tourism / Discovery

Located 100 km south of Toulouse, the former spa town of Labarthe-Rivière is part of the Comminges region. A relaxing stay awaits you in this natural region close to major tourist sites. A wide range of hiking trails are accessible nearby, starting with the Via Garona (GR 861), just 4 km away. In total, there are almost 1,000 km of footpaths facing the Pyrenees, perfect for mountain biking, cycling, trail running or even horse riding. The Garonne is also a great playground for fishing enthusiasts. In summer, enjoy a refreshing moment at Lake Montréjeau and its outdoor activities centre. Swimming is free and supervised in July and August, and there are plenty of activities on offer: inflatable structures, a barbecue, fitness equipment, a beach volleyball court, stand up paddles and kayaks. The Comminges golf course is just a few minutes away and offers a range of courses for all levels on the edge of the lake. Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges is a must-see during your stay. Listed as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages in France’ and a ‘Grand Site’, this Roman village dating back to the 1st century BC is a jewel of unspoilt heritage: the Notre-Dame cathedral, Saint-Julien chapel, half-timbered houses and ramparts form an outstanding backdrop.
