Description

Located just steps from the center of Fourques, a typical village blending Roman heritage and bullfighting traditions.
An ideal starting point to explore Arles, the Alpilles, and the wild Camargue.
Tourism / Discovery
At the crossroads of Provence and the Camargue, Fourques is a charming village in the Gard department, nestled between the Rhône River and the Arles-Bouc canal. This southern village will captivate history buffs, nature lovers, and fans of local culture. Stroll through the old streets, admire the historic suspension bridge, and enjoy the warm Mediterranean atmosphere.
But the true gem lies just 3 km away: Arles. A UNESCO-listed city, Arles is an open-air museum filled with Roman monuments like the amphitheater, the thermal baths, and the Alyscamps. It also boasts vibrant modern culture with the Luma Foundation and traces of Van Gogh’s legacy.
From Fourques, you’re perfectly placed to explore the Camargue: white horses, pink flamingos, marshlands, and traditional ranches. Craving nature? The regional parks of the Camargue and the Alpilles are within easy reach.
