Ambrussum is a major archaeological site in the Hérault department, which has been occupied for over 2,500 years. This site is a perfect illustration of the Romanisation of southern Gaul. Situated on the Via Domitia (near Lunel), the oldest Roman road in Gaul linking Rome to Cadiz, Ambrussum is definitely a must-see.
