Tourism / Discovery
Espalion was built in an ideal spot next to the River Lot. It's an important stop off for pilgrims on the infamous Saint-Jame's Way which links le Puy-en-Velay to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Conques (GR65) hiking trail.
This is a land which is charged with history and emotion, from the great steppes of Aubrac to the chaming villages in the Lot valley. Let youself get carried away by it all.
The area around Espalion is a hot spot for biking and hiking because of its varied terrain and elevation. There are also plenty of opportunities to swim in the Lot as well as water activities on offer: canoeing, boat rides, fishing...
