Villasavary is the perfect place to stop off and discover the Lauragais countryside between Tououse and Carcassonne!
During the first part of the XIIth Century, the Carcassonne noblemen decided to construct a stonghold on the outskirts of their territory. The inhabitants of the two nearby parishes quickly moved to the castle suburbs. They also moved their church... Villasavary was born!
Come ad discover the steep streets and XVIIIth Century windmill. The Hiker's house (for hiking and cycling) can recommend you some fabulous outings.
Head out onto the valley and ridge trails, admire the Lauragaise plains, the snow capped Pyrennees, and the panoramic view of Black mountain
The town has just set up an outdoor activity zone next to the stadium, tennis courts, and the hiker's House (also the departure point for lots of trails).
