The green resort of Quillan to the South of the Aude department sits at 300 m altitude. It's a real hub of the Cathar area, and it is located in the center of a mountain range.
This little town is the ideal spot for doing oudoor sports and discovering the Cathar heritage: a walk along the Aude, an outing on one of the hiking trails or VTT tracks, rafting, kayaking, fishing (1st class and 2nd class rivers for fishing)... You can get your fishing permit from Quillan Tourist Office!
