Les Salaisons de l'Adour are present three times a week, at lunchtime or in the evening, at the stopping places.
They offer Basque cakes with black cherry jam and almond cream. These cakes are made by Jérôme, a craftsman for over 25 years. They are homemade every day before you pass through the area, without any colouring or preservatives.
New for 2021: salted country ham! Produced at the Salaisons de l'Adour, at the foot of the Pyrenees, it is matured for 14 months and sold in 80g tubs.

Pontenx-les-Forges is a charming village from the Landes, about ten kilometres from Mimizan.
Discover this natural site and its great diversity of landscapes. Follow the « Forge » trail to learn more about the town’s feudal past or the « Courant des Forges » discovery trail, which leads you through the pine forest and the Forges pond. From Pontenx, through the forest and other villages, a cycle path leads to the ocean in 18 km. This cycle path is very pleasant and safe for your bike rides.
The Bouricos district is a magical and timeless place. Discover a 12th century chapel, the main house and a so-called « miraculous » fountain. According to legend, the fountain cures skin problems. « L’hôtellerie », « La Miellerie » and « L’Accueil » are also historic places to discover. Stroll through the streets of Pontenx to admire its architectural and historical heritage.
