Located only 15 minutes from Limoges, the village is easily and quickly accessible from the motorway.
The town is sure to please nature lovers, with its outdoor activities such as canoeing and fishing. A fitness trail has also been set up near Chabanas. For hikers, the banks of the Briance river offer some great walks, including the "Circuit des trois rivières et des trois viaducs".
Pierre-Buffière is a place steeped in history, where you can discover railway bridges. Its narrow streets lead you to the century-old cedar of Lebanon or the former coaching inn with its wooden timber framing.
The church of Sainte-Croix features porcelain medallions, which can be admired on its portal. Gallon-Roman remains are also worth a visit and do not miss the “Villa d’Antone”, set on the Boissières plateau, overlooking the Briance and the Blanzou rivers.
