Every Month on the 27th, the fair of Rouillac is an event you mustn't miss. It’s the biggest fair in all Poitou-Charentes and may even be the biggest of Nouvelle-Aquitaine. You will find everything related to local agriculture (livestock, horses, tools, seeds…). Local products are also available : fruits and vegetables, wine, cheese, and delicatessen. You will also find clothes, shoes, jewellery… The atmosphere of this fair brings the whole city to life.

A 15th century castle in flamboyant Gothic style which was owned by several noblemen, including the Marquis of Montespan in the 17th century. This castle is classified as a Historic Monument. Today it is the property of the commune of Neuvicq-le-Château, and it is the AMACS association that works to promote and animate the castle. In 2022, the castle is open to visitors (subject to restrictions linked to the Covid health crisis): from 2.30 to 5.30 pm on weekends and public holidays from 16/04 to 19/06 (and 27/05) and from 10 to 25/09 from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm every day from 25/06 to 04/09 Visits are self-guided (visitors are given 1 documentation) Tour fee: 5€/person (children free up to 12 years old)
