This pretty destination next to the Charente-Maritime and the Gironde is situated in the countryside next to a lot of tourist points. Haute-Saintonge has a big variety of landscapes from the Estuary of Gironde to Perigord. A lot of outings are planned in the town such as “Les Échappées Nature'' of Vitrezay (25km away). This unique experience will make you travel in a rich and preserved environnement. Fishing, sailing, and much more are proposed, where a change of scenery is guaranteed. You can also enjoy the thermal town of Jonzac only 13km away. It’s the 7th biggest thermal town of france thanks to its quality water. In Saint-Dizant-du-Gua, 13 km away, you can enjoy a little piece of paradise by strolling by the blue fountains of Château Beaulon and at Port Maubert. There are a couple of very pleasant bike rides from Saint-Genis: the Hameaux loop (6.5 km or 10 km) and the Pas du Cheval loop (8.5 km) in particular.
