Cayeux-sur-Mer is a family-friendly seaside resort in the south of the Somme Bay. The town is renowned for its large beach, its world-famous kite-surfing spots, its colourful beach huts and its many walks along the shore. The motorhome stopover is located near the start of the famous ‘’Chemin de Planches’’ (boardwalk) and its 519 beach huts. You will then pass by the red and white lighthouse of Brighton, its small pine wood and the dunes of the ‘’Route Blanche’’ (the white road), a pleasant path ideal for a walk or a bike ride. For the best chance of spotting seals in the Somme Bay, reach the shingle dike at the point of Hourdel. Go there at low tide with your binoculars and observe this magical gift of nature!
