Tourism / Discovery
Located in the heart of Lorraine, Commercy is a charming small town known worldwide for its madeleines, made famous by Marcel Proust. But Commercy is more than just its iconic pastry: it’s a peaceful destination with a rich architectural heritage and authentic atmosphere.
Begin your visit at the Stanislas Castle, once home to the exiled King of Poland and Duke of Lorraine. Its beautiful 18th-century design and tree-filled park make it a must-see. The Madeleine Museum offers a delicious dive into the town’s sweet legacy.
Stroll through the old streets, discover quaint shops, welcoming cafés, and historic churches. In the surrounding area, you’ll find the Lorraine Regional Natural Park, and further on, the battlefields of Verdun, key sites of WWI.
Easy to reach and full of flavor, Commercy is a perfect stop for a cultural and gourmet motorhome trip.
