Sedan is a former principality of the Ardennes metropolis which it now belongs to. The immense fortified castle is a relic of French history. It dominates the town. The fortified castle and center of Sedan are very close to the site. The historic center has been labelled "a Site with a Remarkable Heritage". You can stroll through its streets past the Louis XV and Louis XVI style building façades, and stop off for some greenery at the botanical garden. For a more energetic outing in nature, take a bike ride along the River Meuse (it runs through France Belgium and Holland).
