Monthou-sur-Cher is a village 35 km from Blois and 50 km from Tours.
Here, the main attraction is the Gué Péan Castle! Visit the imperial tower to get a glimpse of its carpentry, the Renaissance chapel and the main buildings from the XVIIth Century, fully furnished. Visits in July and August only.
From the area, you can also wander hiking trails that ill get you to older fountains and mills.
The city is part of the tourist road of the Cher Valley (Route touristique de la vallée du Cher).
