Céré-la-Ronde is the ideal stopover when you plan to discover the Loire Castles, or go on an outing to Beauval Zoo, which is just 15 km from the site.
From the site, you can walk into the heart of the village of Céré-la-Ronde and explore. The Saint-Martin Church was built in the XVIth Century and is a listed historical monument. It dominates the village. You can also visit Montpoupon Castle, and its museum and gardens.
The village is full of charming old stone buildings, walks and visits that let you dip into the history of the area around Tours. For hikers, there are 3 well kept marked footpaths that let you explore the surrounding area, crossing through woods and meadows.
