Le Pertre is a small town on the border between Ile-et-Vilaine and Mayenne, 25 km West of Laval and 6 km from Rennes.
Visitors to the region fall for the charms of this authentic, well kept little Breton town and its landscapes and architectural heritage (Saint-Martin-de-Vertou Church, Saint-Joseph and Saint-Léonard Chapels). Pertre Lake is a lovely place for a quiet walk. In good weather, you can take a stroll in the park and magnificent French style gardens around Bel-Air Castle ! The castle is less than 1 km from the campsite.
For a complete nature walk, head for Pertre Forest.
You can visit Vitré nearby. This charming town has a medieval castle and authentic timber framed houses.
