Le Faou is in the heart of the Armorique Regional Nature Park, at the entrance to the Crozon peninsula. In this part of Brittany traditions are particularly important (singing, music, dance and the language). The landscapes are distinctive, both inland and out towards the sea. The scenery includes the Iriose Islands, the Arrée Mountains, and the Crozon Peninsula.
Don't pass up the chance to wander through the main street. It is lined with timber framed "corbelled" houses from the 16th Century.
