On the border of Morbihan and Côtes-d’Armor, the lake of Guerlédan is the largest artificial lake in Brittany. Between Mûr-de-Bretagne and the Bon-Repos Abbey, the 400-hectare lake (12 km long) is nestled in the heart of the Quénécan forest.
The stopover area is ideally located to enjoy the surrounding activities, as the town center of Guerlédan and all the shops are within walking distance. It is also home to a rich Breton heritage with typical churches and chapels.
Small beaches by the lake, hiking, fishing, canoeing, climbing, horse riding, jet skiing, treetop adventure course… There are lots of outdoor activities! Everything is designed so that everyone can enjoy this exceptional setting. For a relaxing break, appreciate a commented cruise of the lake.
On the banks of the Nantes-Brest canal, the Cistercian Bon-Repos Abbey (founded in 1184) welcomes you for a historic discovery in the middle of nature. Learn more about all the secrets and legends concerning the monument (guided visit possible). The Abbey is also an artists’ residence where they can freely express their art. Do not miss the lovely walks around the Abbey: Central Brittany is a real change of scenery.
