Tourism / Discovery

In the heart of Haute-Savoie, Cruseilles is a charming small town surrounded by rolling countryside and mountains. Take the time to explore its centre and historic old town before heading to Dronières Park, one of the locals’ favourite places to relax. Around its lake, the walking trails are easy and pleasant; the site also features a wildlife park with fallow deer, picnic areas, playgrounds, tennis courts, an adventure course and an outdoor swimming pool in season. Just a few minutes from Cruseilles stands one of the region’s most spectacular landmarks: the Caille – Charles-Albert Bridge. Inaugurated in 1839, this 180-metre suspension bridge spans the Usses gorges at a height of nearly 150 metres. Its stone towers and sweeping views over the valley make it a must-see during a stay in the area. Walking enthusiasts can also set out to discover the Salève and the Pays de Cruseilles. The scenic route “Le Salève Côté Usses” winds through villages, viewpoints and heritage sites, and provides access to the Grand Parc d’Andilly and the Hameau du Père Noël. Cruseilles also enjoys a privileged location between two iconic destinations: Annecy and its lake to the south, and Geneva and Lake Geneva to the north. An ideal base for spending several days exploring heritage, wide-open spaces and Alpine landscapes.
