Bonneville is ideally located, next to the winter sport resorts (the Domaine du grand Massif and Portes du Soleil are 28 and 86 km away) and the touristic towns like Geneva (29 km) and Chamonix (55 km).
You will for sure like the landscapes during the excursion around Bonneville at l’Ile de la Barque: a beautiful hiking place between forest and the Arve shores.
Don’t forget to visit the town center. The characteristic houses are part of the history of Bonneville. The City Hall colours are a sight for sore eyes, like a lot of other monuments: Castle of Béatrix de Faucigny, the church of Sainte-Catherine
The Motte-Longue lake will welcome you for a supervised swim ( opening of the outdoor activities centre in summer) or for fishing in a wild setting.
Gourmets will be delighted to try the regional specialities: reblochon, raclette, Savoyard fondue or bescoin, a pastry flavoured with aniseed and coloured with saffron.
About 30 km north of Bonneville is one of the largest and most famous lakes in Europe: Lake Leman. A trip to this French-Swiss lake will lead you to hiking excursions, boat rides… Events, animations and festivals are organized all year round around this amazing place.
